Accessibility at Immunity Center

Our aim

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, and we treat the newer WCAG 2.2 Level AA criteria as good practice. Accessibility is work that continues as the site changes; we do not claim that this website is fully compliant or certified.

What we have done

• Every page can be operated with a keyboard alone, and the element you are on always shows a visible focus outline.
• A “Skip to main content” link is the first thing you reach on every page, so you can jump past the navigation.
• The mobile menu and the on-site concierge are announced as dialogs, close with the Escape key, and return you to the control that opened them.
• Text and interface colours were measured against the actual pixels behind them — including text over photographs — to meet the contrast levels in WCAG 2.1 AA.
• Headings, landmarks and page titles are structured so screen-reader users can navigate by region and heading.
• Images carry meaningful alternative text, and decorative graphics are hidden from assistive technology.
• Forms have visible labels, state which fields are required in words, describe errors in text, link each message to its field, and announce success or failure.
• Pages reflow without horizontal scrolling down to 320 pixels wide and at 200% zoom, and remain readable when you increase text spacing.
• Animation is reduced automatically when your device is set to “reduce motion”.

Known limitations

• The Google Maps panel on our Burbank Location page is supplied by Google. Some of its controls do not meet the minimum target size, and we cannot change them. The full address, phone number and directions link are also provided as plain text on that page so you never need to use the map.
• We have tested with automated tools, keyboard navigation and colour measurement. Testing with every combination of screen reader and browser is ongoing.
• Online form submission is not connected yet. Until it is, please call us and our team will complete any request with you.
